How to play audio from your sound card (w/ Windows XP)
Step 1.
Click-> START / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Volume Control
Step 2.
In the windows mixer that opens click Options / Properties
Step 3.
Select the recording/input device from the drop down menu at the top,
then click the ( )Recording bullet.
Step 4.
Put a tick/check mark in the box labeled one of the following or something very similar to:
[ ] Wave Out Mix
[ ] Stereo Out
[ ] Stereo Mix
NOTE: You can also just check all the boxes if you want to!
Then click
Step 5.
Back at the main windows mixer window now put a tick/check mark in the box for one of the following options:
[ ] Wave Out Mix
[ ] Stereo Out
[ ] Stereo Mix
One of these ^, or a name very similar.
Congratulations!! Now you are done and can play music through your sound card and with much better sound quality!! :-D Enjoy!!
How to play audio from your sound card (w/ Windows Vista)
Step 1.
Click-> START(Windows logo button, bottom left) / Control Panel (on gray pane to the right of your programs listed)
Step 2.
Switch Control Panel to "Classic View" (left top of the window)
Step 3.
Click the "Sound" icon, it looks like a speaker.
Step 4.
Click the "Recording" tab of the Sound window.
Step 5.
Under "Select a recording device below to modify it's settings:"
Click on "WaveOut Mix"
Step 6.
Then click the button [Set Default], and click
Congratulations!! Now you are done and can play music through your sound card and with much better sound quality!! :-D Enjoy!!
How to change your Audio Device inside Flash Player (which includes Stickam chatrooms, or any flash based chat)
Step 1.
Right Click-> on the Flash Applet (in Stickam this can be on your video or a blank video square)
Step 2.
Click -> "Settings"
Step 3.
Click the Microphone icon.
Step 4.
Click the drop down box (a little down arrow "v"),
and select the source you wish to use,
which should be your soundcard, or microphone.
Then click
Congratulations!! You can now change your Audio Device!! :-D Enjoy!!
How to change your Cam Device inside Flash Player (which includes Stickam chatrooms, or any flash based chat)
Step 1.
Right Click-> on the Flash Applet (in Stickam this can be on your video or a blank video square)
Step 2.
Click -> "Settings"
Step 3.
Click the Cam icon.
Step 4.
Click the drop down box (a little down arrow "v"),
and select the source you wish to use,
which should be your WEB CAM,
or another cam/video device driver like:
(Splitcam, Manycam, Webcam Max, etc.)
Then click
Congratulations!! You can now change your Cam Device!! :-D Enjoy!!
